Honest timelines: weeks, then two to four months

The issuer described the agency’s timeline as honest. Here it is, phase by phase.

The timeline as stated

Listing and data fixes can start showing up in AI answers within a few weeks, because many assistants pull live information. Content, reviews and third-party mentions build over two to four months. Prompts are re-tested monthly so progress is visible.

Top Business Awards US summarized it this way: the agency “states that listing fixes can appear in AI answers within weeks while content and third-party mentions take two to four months, an honest timeline rather than a guarantee.” For an owner planning a budget, that is the useful version: two speeds of change, stated up front.

Within weeks: listings and data

The fast phase is fast for a reason. Many assistants pull live information, so a corrected listing reaches the answer quickly. The work in this phase is entity and listing cleanup: making name, address, phone number, services, opening hours and categories match on Google, Bing, Yelp, Apple Maps and the directories that matter to the trade. For a coffee shop it is often opening hours, which the agency calls the most common error it finds. For a restaurant it is hours, holiday closures, price range and cuisine kept identical across Google, Yelp, Bing, Apple Maps and OpenTable or Resy.

Two to four months: content, reviews, mentions

The slower phase builds the evidence that makes an assistant confident. Answer-ready service pages and FAQs need to be written and read. Customers need time to leave reviews that describe what the business does best. Mentions in local press, neighborhood guides and directories have to be earned. Bay Area AEO gives this phase two to four months, and says so before the work starts.

Every month: the re-test

The same questions run every month. That gives the owner a fixed yardstick: the answer in month one, the answer after the listing fixes, the answer after the new content and reviews.

The timeline in three parts.

Timelines that follow the calendar

Several niche pages tie the timeline to seasons, which shows the agency planning ahead of demand. Bakeries publish holiday menus and pre-order deadlines early, so AI has the information when people start asking. HVAC content is timed for heat waves and cold snaps. Roofers publish rainy-season leak content. Accountants publish tax-season guidance. The two-to-four-month build phase is long enough that an owner who starts in spring can have content in place for those peaks.

Reading progress against the timeline

The timeline also tells an owner how to read the monthly report. Early changes in how a business is described, such as correct hours or the right service area, usually trace to listing work. Later changes, such as the assistant quoting a service page or repeating a phrase from reviews, trace to content and mentions. Knowing which phase a change belongs to makes the report easier to follow.

Choosing where to start

Because the fast phase shows results first, the agency suggests a starting point after the free visibility check. Many businesses start with the location or service that matters most and expand once they see AI answers change. The timeline then repeats for the next location or service.

Weeks for listings, two to four months for content and mentions, a re-test every month.

Why honesty is a reason to hire

An owner who knows the timeline can judge progress fairly. They expect listing-driven changes early and content-driven changes later, and they see both in the monthly report. The issuer’s criteria reward plain-language explanation, and a clear timeline is part of that.
